The Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC), European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Science (E-RIHS) and the Saving European Archaeology from the Digital Dark Age COST Action (SEADDA) are three leading actors in developing and promoting good-practice for the full data cycle for archaeological and heritage science data. With the occasion of the SEADDA Exploratory Workshop on Use and Reuse of Archaeological Data at the end of March 2020, the three initiatives got together to bring a day of knowledge share and discussion aimed at heritage science and archaeological data.

SSHOC Takes Over @DARIAHeu Twitter Account

SSHOC webinar on certification of data repositories

On 23 April 2020, SSHOC held the webinar “How to improve the quality of your repository? SSHOC and certification of repositories”, focusing on the certification of digital repositories and how a repository can apply for the CoreTrustSeal. The webinar also touched upon how SSHOC will be able support repositories seeking certification.

In the “CLARIN Hands-on Tutorial on Transcribing Interview Data” webinar organized by SSHOC and CLARIN ERIC on the 3rd March 2020, Henk van den Heuvel (CLARIN-K centre ACE at Radboud University, Nijmegen) and Christoph Draxler (BAS CLARIN-D centre at Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich), discussed the challenges associated with transcribing spoken data, and demonstrated the workflow of machine-assisted interview transcription process.
