At the close of the ARCHIVER Tender on 8 June 2020 five bids had been selected for the provision of R&D for hybrid end-to-end archival and preservation services meeting the innovation challenges of the European research communities in the context of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).

In the ensuing months, these five consortia have been working to provide a written detailed report including the architecture and technical design of the components of their solutions. Three will be selected to move to the Prototype Implementation Phase, to build prototypes of their solutions including all components. Basic functionality, interoperability, and security tests will be performed by IT specialists from the buyers’ group.

On Monday 7 December 2020, the three consortia selected for the ARCHIVER prototype phase will be announced during a Public Award Ceremony starting at 14.00 CET.

The event kicks off the Prototype Implementation Phase and is open to all interested stakeholders.
