SSHOC's coordinator CESSDA is holding a widening meeting on 5-6 November in Skopje, North Macedonia.

This meeting is part of continuous efforts to strengthen and widen the CESSDA ERIC community across Europe and beyond.

The Workshop in 2019 will focus on challenges CESSDA faces to improve its research infrastructure:

  • Challenges connected to sustainability, impact and ongoing monitoring of Research Infrastructures in the European Union, and integration with the European Open Science Cloud.
  • Challenges connected to developments at national data services in terms of funding and building capacities internally and complying with CESSDA requirements externally.
  • Challenges connected to widening of CESSDA in terms of support and collaboration with partner countries and new member countries.

During the morning panel of the second day, the Social Sciences & Humanities Open Cloud (SSHOC) project will be presented by Irena Vipavc Brvar, Director of Administration at ADP, The Slovenian Social Science Data Archives of the University of Ljubljana.

This event is intended for representatives from ministries, research councils and service providers from potential partner countries.
